New Patients at Dentist Downtown Seattle

We’re Glad You’re Here

Every good dental relationship starts with a first visit that feels right. Our Denny Triangle team listens first, explains your options in plain language, and moves at a pace that suits you. Thorough, unhurried, and personal.

What to Expect During Your First Visit

Most of your first appointment is talking. We want to hear your goals, understand your dental history, and learn what good care looks like to you. Then comes a gentle, comprehensive exam along with any X-rays we need to see the full picture of your teeth and gums. Nothing gets sprung on you, and treatment waits until you are comfortable moving forward.

If it helps, come by our Denny Triangle office ahead of time to meet the team and look around. Walking in already familiar with the place takes a lot of the edge off.

Your First Visit, Step by Step

1

A Friendly Welcome

We say hello at the door, walk you around the office if you have not been here before, and get you settled in your room. Plan on 60 to 90 minutes for a first visit.

2

Comprehensive Exam

We look at every tooth, measure your gums, screen for oral cancer, and check how your bite comes together. Digital X-rays and intraoral photos put the same images in front of you that we are looking at.

3

Same-Day Cleaning When Possible

If your teeth and gums are in good enough shape for it, your cleaning happens the day you come in. If a deeper cleaning is the better option, we walk you through the reason and book the appointment that fits.

4

Leave With A Clear Plan

We tell you what we found in everyday words, with nothing to sell and no dental vocabulary to decode. You go home with the cost in writing and any next appointment already on the calendar.

New Patient Welcome Email & Patient Forms

Book your first appointment and a welcome email follows shortly after, with a link to set up your patient portal login. All of your new patient paperwork sits in the portal, ready to complete from your couch instead of our waiting room.

Finishing the forms early makes your visit smoother. Our Denny Triangle team uses that window to confirm your dental benefits ahead of time, so the appointment begins with your dentist rather than with paperwork.

How Early to Arrive

Plan on showing up about 10 minutes before your appointment time. That gives us a chance to:

  • Introduce you to the front-desk team and get you checked in
  • Scan your photo ID and insurance card
  • Let you get comfortable in the reception area instead of walking straight into the chair

What to Bring to Your First Appointment

  • A photo ID and your dental insurance card, if you have coverage
  • HSA and FSA cards and CareCredit are all welcome for any copay due at the visit
  • If you have them handy, a list of your current medications and any recent dental records or X-rays from a previous office

Parking & Access

Our office sits at 2045 Westlake Avenue in the Denny Triangle, close to the Amazon campus and within walking distance of Belltown, South Lake Union, and the downtown retail core. Transit and rideshare drop-offs are convenient from most of the city. Call ahead if you would like directions or help figuring out where to park.

If You Haven’t Been in a While

A lot of our patients had gone years without seeing a dentist before their first appointment with us. The reasons vary: a bad experience in the past, a move, a long stretch of putting it off, or never finding an office that felt like a fit. There is no judgment here. Your first visit back is a comfortable exam, a straight conversation about what we find, and a plan that moves at your speed. Oral sedation is available at our Denny Triangle office if you would like the extra support.

Frequently Asked Questions by New Patients

It is longer and more thorough. Your first appointment is built around getting to know you and the current state of your teeth and gums. We complete a full exam, take any X-rays we need, talk through what you want from your care, and explain everything we find. When your teeth and gums are healthy, we usually fit your cleaning into the same appointment.

In most cases it covers the majority of it. PPO plans typically pay for routine exams, X-rays, and cleanings with little or nothing out of pocket. Our Denny Triangle team verifies your benefits before you come in and shows you how to get the most out of the coverage you already pay for.

Plan on 60 to 90 minutes at our 2045 Westlake Avenue office. That leaves room to hear what you want from your care, complete a careful exam, take X-rays when they are needed, and answer your questions without anyone watching the clock.

They matter more than most people expect. A visual exam only shows so much, so X-rays let us catch decay between teeth, infection at the root, bone loss, and other problems while they are still small and simple to treat.

Usually, yes. Our goal is to clean your teeth the same day you come in. If the exam turns up gum disease or something that calls for a different kind of cleaning, we explain what we found and book the appropriate appointment so you get the right care instead of a rushed one.

Dental anxiety is something we see every week. Our team moves at your pace, explains each step before it happens, and uses gentle technique throughout. Oral sedation is available at this office if you would like extra support. Mention your concerns when you book and we will plan the visit around them.

No. Life gets in the way, fear keeps people out of the chair, and none of that is something we hold against you. Our attention is on where you go from here, not on what happened before. You will be treated with respect every time you come in.

Not at all, and you are in good company. A number of our long-time patients started exactly the same way. Your return visit is a comfortable exam, a clear explanation of what we find, and a treatment plan you help set the pace for.

We accept CareCredit, which lets you spread the cost of care over time. CareCredit offers several financing options, including promotional periods with no interest for patients who qualify. It is a common choice for larger treatment plans and for patients paying out of pocket.

Absolutely. Let us know who you would like to see when you schedule and we will match you up based on their availability. If you have no preference, tell us what you are coming in for and we will point you toward the provider best suited to it.

This place is good. The doctor is very professional and experienced. I like the way the doctor extracted my wisdom teeth, no scary sound from electric saws, just some pry work that took him about 3 minutes total on 2 teeth. Very smooth procedure with no pain at all.

Patricia E.

The professional dental team is amazing and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door.
